The Aaron Judge sweepstakes appeared to be swaying in the opposite direction during the day on Thursday.

Numerous reports suggested that Judge was likely to sign together with an organization like the San Francisco Giants on a huge contract. However, those reports leaped the ball.

In the early hours of Wednesday, new reports came out that said he signed a lucrative extension of his contract to stay with the New York Yankees.

According to various reports, the player signed an extension of nine years, worth a $360 million contract to remain within New York.

ESPN's Jeff Passan explained how everything went down.

"Aaron Judge flew into San Diego at the last moment to choose between three teams which included The New York Yankees, the San Francisco Giants, and the San Diego Padres," Passan explained

"The Yankees bumped their offer to nine years and $360 million. at the end, Judge decided he wanted to remain as a Yankee."
