Georgia Bulldogs offensive coordinator Todd Monken Named Finalist for Major Award

The Georgia Bulldogs offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Todd Monken is one of five finalists to receive the Broyles Award, as per an announcement by the Frank & Barbara Broyles Foundation. 

The other four finalists of the Broyles Award were awarded to the assistant college football head coach for the season. include Illinois defense coordinator Ryan Walters 

Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, TCU offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Garrett Riley and Tennessee offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Alex Golesh 

The former Bulldog defensive coordinator and the current Oregon Head coach Dan Lanning was a finalist for the Broyles Award in 2021 and again in 2019 

Georgia Head coach Kirby Smart won the 2009 award as a finalist for the award in 2015 when he was at Alabama. 

The five finalists will be invited to go to the state of Arkansas to Little Rock, Ark. On Dec. 5-6, where the 2022 Broyles Award winner will be announced at the Statehouse Convention Center. 

Monken has helmed an offense that averages 38.2 points per match (12th in the nation) as well as 488.8 yards per game (eighth nationally) throughout the Bulldogs in their undefeated start to this season
