It took almost an entire half before Japan finally struck back against Croatia in an 1-0 lead during the Round of 16 game.
A veteran striker Daizen Maeda found an opening in the box, and he hammered the ball in the net with a deflected strike to give his team an advantage as the first half is drawing to a close.
There was a short VAR review, but the goal was up for grabs when everyone was found to be in the right position.
