Brady Quinn Furious Over Notre Dame Star's Awards Snub

It was not a great season for Notre Dame. Notre Dame football team as they finished 8-4 under their new head coach Marcus Freeman and lost some heartbreakers along the way.
However, the most significant loss for Notre Dame legend Brady Quinn the most tragic incident is the snub of a player for an award is a high-profile one.
This past Friday Georgia tight-end Brock Bowers took home the Mackey Award for the best tight end in the country
Quinn immediately reacted by announcing that the committee did not recognize Notre Dame tight end, Michael Mayer, in a major way.
"Mackey Award committee members have an explanation to give. What kind of metrics or movies are they watching? Mayer was a better player receiving, but it's not even as close to an offensive blocker."
Mayer was a 67-reception player with 9 touchdowns and 809 yards which led in the Fighting Irish in every category. Bowers however, had 52 receptions , totalling 726 yards and six touchdowns.
Quinn's tweet is now going fast, receiving over 2,000 likes and a plethora of responses to fellow Notre Dame fans and rivals alike.
